Clay-Towns Joint Industrial Park
This 800,000-square-foot industrial park is a joint effort of Clay County, North Carolina, and Towns County, Georgia. The best-management practices used include:
- Dry swales
- Vegetative channels
- Infiltration basin
- Constructed wetland
- Stream buffer
- Landscape screen.

Golden Triangle Regional Airport
This campus-style development has one million square feet. It's the site of American Eurocopter, producer of commercial and military helicopters. Best management practices used include:
- Vegetative channel
- Polishing ponds
- Existing wetlands
- Preservation of natural areas
- Community open space.

North Huntsville Industrial Park
The planned park is adjacent to and north of the new Toyota plant on Pulaski Pike in North Huntsville. Acquired by the City of Huntsville, the several-hundred-acre-property will eventually accommodate additional industrial properties that will support the automotive plant. The best management practices used include:
- Building material choices that reduce pollutants
- Bioretention areas
- Grass swales
- Sinkhole buffers
- Storm-water ponds.

Other Notable Examples
Case studies for 16 conservation design industrial parks came from participants in an Eco-Industrial Park Workshop at Cape Charles, Va., October 17-18, 1996. The workshop was co-sponsored by the President's Council on Sustainable Development and the Port of Cape Charles Sustainable Technologies Industrial Park.
