Economic development, along with energy production and environmental stewardship, is one of the integrated purposes of TVA. Our goals are to increase capital investment and attract and retain better-paying jobs for the people we serve. We are dedicated to meeting those goals and preparing communities for economic growth.

Federal Partner
The Economic Development Administration (EDA) helps communities address problems associated with long-term economic distress, as well as sudden and severe economic dislocations such as those caused by natural disasters, the closure of military installations and other Federal facilities, changing trade patterns, and the depletion of natural resources.
