Loews chooses Nashville for service center

May 13, 2010 – New York-based Loews Hotels has announced that it will locate a shared service center in Nashville, creating about 200 new jobs.

The service center will provide billing, accounting and IT services to the 19 Loews hotels and resorts in the U.S. and Canada.

Loews CEO Jonanathan Tisch said that the company would occupy 40,000 square feet of space at the Fifth Third Center in Nashville's central business district. The announcement was made at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville.

"I am pleased that one of the most recognized brands in hospitality has chosen to locate such an integral part of the company's operations here in downtown Nashville," said Nashville mayor Karl Dean.

Loews began the site selection process more than six months ago with an initial list of 250 U.S. communities. Partners on the project included the Nashville Chamber of Commerce Partnership 2010, City of Nashville Economic Development team, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, and TVA.
