TVA executive named BREI president
Aug. 6 , 2007 — Amy Bunton, general manager of business and community resources for the Tennessee Valley Authority, has been elected president of Business Retention & Expansion International (BREI).
BREI is a nonprofit professional association of economic development professionals working to advance business retention and expansion as an economic development strategy for communities. The association’s objective is to further the systematic knowledge of business retention and expansion through research, training, publications, and business meetings.
Bunton has been active in the organization for seven years and is well-respected by its global members for her expertise in the field. At TVA, she oversees efforts to provide products and services that help communities and companies prosper and grow in the seven-state Tennessee Valley region.
BREI has more than 500 members in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. They represent private and public organizations, universities, private consulting businesses, utilities, and economic development practitioners from local and state government.
