Nashville metro area again tops "50 Hottest Cities" list
Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro MSA ranks first;
Memphis is No. 7; Knoxville, TN, No. 9;
Huntsville, AL, No. 22; and Jackson, TN, No. 42
Jan. 25, 2006 - The Nashville metro area has placed first in Expansion Management magazine's annual list of "America's 50 Hottest Cities" for the second year in a row. The list is based on a poll of over 80 of the country’s most prominent site location consultants. Four other Valley cities also ranked in the top 50: Memphis, Knoxville, and Jackson, Tennessee, and Huntsville, Alabama.
The magazine praised the top areas’ regional approach to economic development as key to their success. Instead of competing, a city and its suburban counties work together because they know that in the end, the entire region benefits. Read the full Expansion Management story.
